The controversy surrounding Kim Soo Hyun continues to escalate following the release of a manipulated audio clip by the family of late actress Kim Sae Ron on May 7. In the wake of the scandal, the Queen of Tears actor has found strong support from his fanbase, which is now taking legal action against those spreading defamatory content online.

At a press conference held by Kim Sae Ron’s family, alongside a legal representative and GaroSero Research Institute CEO Kim Se Eui, an audio clip allegedly recorded by the late actress was shared. In the clip, Sae Ron reportedly spoke to a man in New Jersey, referred to as a whistleblower, and revealed a physical relationship with Kim Soo Hyun dating back to when she was just 14 years old and in 8th grade.

In the latest update shared on May 9, the fan union reported that over 100 individuals had been formally reported to Seongbuk Police Station for defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. The accused are alleged to have spread false and harmful information about the actor online.
The fan union reiterated their support for Kim Soo Hyun, stating:
“Kim Soo Hyun has consistently given his best over the years. We believe it is our duty to defend and uphold the dignity and rights of such an actor.”
