Celebrating Raid 2: A Milestone in Ajay Devgn’s Career

Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, which hit theatres on May 1, has turned out to be a solid winner at the box office. Within just nine days of its release, the action-packed sequel has officially crossed the coveted ₹100 crore mark in domestic collections, emerging as one of the biggest hits of the year so far.

According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned approximately ₹5 crore on its second Friday (Day 9), maintaining a strong hold despite it being a regular working day. The movie’s steady run hasn’t been hindered by current India-Pakistan tensions either, with consistent earnings throughout the weekdays—₹5.25 crore on Day 8, ₹4.75 crore on Day 7, ₹7 crore on Day 6, and ₹7.5 crore on Day 5. Its first-week total stood at ₹95.75 crore, and with the Day 9 addition, Raid 2 has officially crossed ₹100 crore.

The film is now inching closer to surpassing the India net collections of Salman Khan’s recent release, Sikandar.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Panorama Studios, Raid 2 brings Ajay Devgn back as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, continuing his crusade against white-collar crime. Vaani Kapoor stars as the female lead, while Riteish Deshmukh plays a menacing antagonist.

The film has received a positive response from audiences and critics alike, currently holding an IMDb rating of 7.8/10. As its strong box office run continues, Raid 2 is well on its way to becoming one of 2025’s standout commercial successes.
