She also explained the reason behind her decision to avoid taking pictures with fans at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off midway on Friday due to cross-border tensions, prompting a swift evacuation of players, staff, and officials. Preity Zinta, who was present at the venue, confirmed on May 11 that she had reached home safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFinally back home after a whirlwind few days. Deep gratitude to Indian Railways and Railway Minister Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw for ensuring the safe, swift, and comfortable departure of both IPL teams, along with officials and families, from Dharamshala,\u201d she shared on X and Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evacuation involved detailed coordination. Around 40 to 50 small vehicles transported the teams, support staff, and broadcast crew from Dharamshala to Hoshiarpur, escorted by Kangra and Punjab police. From there, they were moved to Jalandhar, where a special train took them to Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preity also extended her gratitude to ICC Chairman Jay Shah, IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal, BCCI, and
