According to Misri, the decision came after a direct conversation between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries. \u201cPakistan’s DGMO contacted the Indian DGMO at 15:35 hours today. Following the discussion, both sides agreed to halt all military actions effective 17:00 hours IST. Orders have been issued to troops on both sides to implement the agreement,\u201d he said. He further confirmed that the DGMOs will speak again on May 12 at noon to ensure continued coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also confirmed ongoing U.S. involvement. \u201cOver the past 48 hours, Vice President Vance and I engaged with senior Indian and Pakistani officials, including Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Shehbaz Sharif, as well as key national security and military leaders from both sides,\u201d Rubio stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
