The wait is over! The highly hyped sequel of WAR, WAR 2, is currently streaming on Netflix India in the YRF Spy Universe. Under the direction of Ayan Mukerji, this action-filled and high-endurance thriller unites Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, South Indian megastar Jr. NTR, and the beautiful Kiara Advani in the thrilling spy and betrayal story.
WAR 2 continues on the same note as the predecessor, with Kabir Dhaliwal as a major (played by Hrithik Roshan) who takes on a very dangerous mission on behalf of a criminal network. This, however, takes a dramatic twist after his mission puts him against his ruthless former friend, and this becomes a battle of wit and bullets. The movie explores the issues of loyalty, betrayal, and the gray areas between right and wrong.
Ayan Mukerji, who worked on Brahmastra, directs WAR 2, which guarantees the smooth combination of action and narration. The film was produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films and has a very large budget, as it is so huge and ambitious.
Produced in 6 countries, such as Spain, Italy, Abu Dhabi, Japan, Russia, and India, WAR 2 provides spectacular shots and carefully planned action scenes. The cinematography and editing in the film go hand in hand to provide a cinematic experience that is both exciting and engrossing.
The film is accompanied by a musical score by Pritam, which enriches the film viewing experience, given the level of action in the film. Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara’s background score provides an extra dimension, and the viewer cannot sit back.
WAR 2 is released in cinemas on August 14, 2025. The box office performance of the film with a star cast and much expectation was poor. Nevertheless, the online availability on Netflix India gives the cinemagoers one more chance to feel the thrilling storyline and action scenes of the movie.
