Amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, the Indian Ministry of Defence has categorically denied Pakistani claims regarding the destruction of strategic Indian military assets, including the S-400 air defence systems and the BrahMos missile base. These assertions, widely circulated on social media, have been dismissed as part of a “malicious disinformation campaign.”
In a press briefing held on Saturday, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed the false narratives being propagated by Pakistan. “There have been baseless claims about the destruction of the S-400 systems at Adampur, airfields at Suratgarh and Sirsa, the BrahMos base at Nagrota, RT gun positions at Dehrangyari and Chandigarh Forward Ammunition Depot, and several other military stations,” she stated. “India unequivocally rejects these fabrications.”
She added that Pakistan has also launched continued military provocations along the western border, using a mix of threat vectors. These included attacks by UCAVs, drones, long-range weapons, loitering munitions, and fighter jets targeting both civilian and military infrastructure.
“Along the Line of Control and international border, Pakistan attempted multiple air intrusions and harassment attacks—spanning over 26 locations from Srinagar to Naliya,” she said.
Despite these aggressive maneuvers, Wing Commander Singh confirmed that Indian Armed Forces effectively neutralized the majority of threats. However, she acknowledged limited damage at select Indian Air Force Stations, including Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to national security and warned citizens against falling for false information aimed at spreading panic.
